When Jake Adams walked into school on a chilly winter morning, he found himself staring at a door he had never seen before.  The door was painted a bright green and was suspicious in color.  Curious, Jake opened the door slightly, the door creeked as it opened.  Jake peeked inside and saw an amazing sight!  The door opened up to a beautiful scene.  Inside the door was a gorgeous waterfall surrounded in a lush green forest.  The forest was mountainous with tall trees that hovered up in the air.  Its golden leaves and branches covered the waterfall like an umbrella protecting its rich ocean life.  This waterfall  lead to an amazing bright blue cystal clear ocean.  The ocean sparkled in the sunlight while its gentle waves seemed to be greeting him with a smile.  This  picturesque scene behind this bright green door seemed like a dream and was inviting  Jake to enter its sacred grounds.

Jake looked around to see if anyone was watching and took a monumental step into this magical world that seemed to be calling him.  He took a few more steps inside this dream like world and while he did that the door slammed shut behind him unexpectedly.  Jake did not seem to bothered by this as he kept walking into this enchanted forest.  While glancing around the white sandy beach he found a quiant little cantina nestled under the waterfall that was peering out into the ocean.

He walked up to the cantina and asked the waiter curiously, “What is this place and how did it get here?”

The waiter smiled, nodded and repled, “This enchanted forest is your alternate universe, its whatever you like it to be.  May I ask you a question,” the towering giant inquired.

“Yes,” replied Jake in a quivering voice.

The waiter was dressed in a black and white tuxedo and was poised elegantly over the white marbled counter. He questioned Jake, “What was life like on the other side of the door you entered through?”

“Well, its kind of cold because we are in the middle of winter.” Jake stated with a wondering mind.

“You see, when a person passes though the door you enter into a world that person desires.  If you desired a warm, pleasant beach with an enchanted forest then that is what you acquire.”

Jake looked at the waiter in complete amazement.  “Well, if that is true then I desire a plate full of delicious blueberry pancakes, buttered toast, eggs over easy and golden breakfast potatoes!”

“If that is what you desire then that is what you recieve,” announced the tall and thin waiter behind the counter.

Within a matter of seconds a plate full of mouth watering breakfast entrees landed on the table before him.  Jake stared in amusement.  He began to devour his scrumptious platter with complete satisfaction.

“Eat all you want, in this world you can eat all you want and never feel full or gain weight,” declared the waiter behind the counter.  He smiled at Jake as he inhaled his breakfast.

After devulging his homemade breakfast, Jake walked the corner and stared at the beautiful waterfall pouring down before him.  He glanced at the ocean and took a deep breath.  The ocean smelled fresh and clean like life has just renewed itself and was actually breathing beside him in unison.  He felt as if this world was breathing, living and growing along with him.  This alternate universe was like his soul, it felt what he felt and lived his dreams. As he stared out into those tall trees that blanketed the ocean he smiled turned back and walked towards the door he entered through.

“I must not tell anyone about this place,” he thought to himself.  Jake turned the golden knob and walked back into the cold and dreary world he knew before.  As he walked back into the world he knew before the door shut behind him and then magically disappeared.  Jake tried to locate the door again but it was to late.  The porthole to the alternate universe he experienced was gone and never seen again.

Jake stood there in shock of what he just experienced.  The school bell rang and the children passed by him unaware of what Jake had just experienced and unaware of the beauty that was behind a hidden door… never be seen again.  Jake thought to himself, “no one is ever going to believe me, no one will ever know, no one will ever know…”
