CSAP Practice  Writing Prompt

It is important to have people to look up to.  Write a well developed paragraph in which you descibe someone you admire.  This person could be a friend, or a relative, a famous person, or a fictional character.  Your paragraph should contain at 150-250 words!

The person I admire most is my mother.  She was a teacher like me and was always fair and wise in raising me.  I know that she worked very hard to provide for me.  When I was in High School she spent all her extra money to help me take a two week trip to Europe with the French Club.   This opportunity granted me the motivation to attend college and become a teacher just like my mother.  Her intelligence and ability to mediate conflicts had caused her to be labeled as, “the peacemaker” in education.  Two years ago, when I applied for a teaching job in her old school district, I had principles talk to me about how my mother changed their life!  This is my mother…the one who raised me!  People in the school district that she worked at were complimenting my mother even when she left the district years ago!  That is my mother, a person with a great reputation and work ethic.  I know people will always remember her and keep her in their hearts.  Hopefully, one day when I retire, people will say the same about me.  That is all we can do in this world that is try to emulate the people we admire and I admire my mother, now and forever.
